The Garland 4518817 Range Thermocouple, 18', 20-30 mV, is a temperature-sensing system that is used to sense the presence of a pilot flame and control the flow of gas in commercial cooking equipment. It works the main purpose of producing a low electrical voltage with a heat response, which allows it to be safely operated by regulating the gas valve. The thermocouple is fitted directly in compatible pilot assemblies and is fixed along the flame path in order to provide correct sensing.
