The Tri-Star 310210 Thermocouple 20-30mV 1970 Series is a flame-detecting system installed in gas-fired cooking appliances to detect a burner flame. It works on the concept of producing a minor electrical signal when the sensing tip of the thermocouple becomes hot by a flame, which assists the gas control system in controlling the amount of fuel flow during ignition. It is installed in actual commercial kitchen settings in situations of system or replacement of equipment, where precise flame detection is required to ensure safe burner operation. The 18" lead can be routed flexibly by means of internal assemblies.
