The Market Forge 98-6189 Contactor is an essential part that is used to switch high current power circuits in commercial cooking and steam systems. It operates by exciting an internal coil which opens or closes four contact poles enabling electrical supply at desired inductive and resistive load ratings. The contactor is fitted in the electrical control compartment of the appliance in commercial kitchen installations. In the entire system, it controls the supply of power to heating components based on the inputs of thermostats, timers or control circuits in regular operating cycles.
