The Pitco P8905-33 Flame Sensor Probe 1-1/4" with 1/4" tab terminal is a detection part of a commercial kitchen system to detect the presence of a burner flame. The probe is installed close to the burner assembly, and it detects the presence of a flame and transmits a signal to the control module. When used in the actual kitchen operation, it assists the appliance in ensuring secure ignition and proper burner operation during cooking. Its purpose in the appliance is to assist in secure operation by stopping the flow of gas if no flame is detected, to assist in responding to the loss of flame in a quick manner, and to minimize the risk of secure conditions.
