The Garland 227198 Oven Pilot Natural Gas/LP is a gas ignition part that is used to form and keep the small pilot flame needed to ignite a burner in an appliance. It is used with natural gas and liquid propane types of fuel and can be installed in various supply configurations. The pilot assembly is mounted near the burner region, the constant flame of which is used in proper ignition in case of heat demand. In actual service conditions in the field of service, this component is installed during assembly or service to assist in the proper start-up sequencing.
