The Vulcan Hart VH00-412788-00048 Thermocouple 48 11/32" 32 1900 Series is a temperature sensor component of compatible commercial gas cooking equipment. This senses the presence of heat at the pilot or burner assembly and produces a small electrical signal 20-30 mV, to signal the secure control system of the appliance, either the presence of a flame or the absence of a flame, to prevent unlit gas flow. The thermocouple is installed between the burner and the place of the control valve. It is also popular in commercial kitchens and foodservice settings where consistent flame sensing is needed for the use and security of appliances.
