The Vulcan Hart 412788-00048 Thermocouple is a 48-inch temperature sensor that was utilised in commercial gas-powered catering equipment. It produces a small electrical signal when heated by a burner flame, and this can be used by the control system to confirm that ignition has started. It is mounted close to the pilot or main burner in appliances to detect the presence of flames when in use. The thermocouple in the system is a component of the secure circuit, which regulates the flow of gas and assists in avoiding the release of fuel when no flame is detected in the normal commercial operation.
