The Star Mfg Z4609 Thermocouple is a snap-fit temperature sensor, which is intended to be used in commercial gas griddles. It detects the pilot flame and produces a millivolt signal to operate the gas better valve so that a stable flame can only be maintained when the fuel is flowing. It is mounted close to the burner assembly and has a 24 inch lead which is a major component of the ignition and better circuit in the heating system. When used in the operation, it assists in the consistent start-up, avoids the release of unburned gas, and assists in the controlled operation of the griddle in catering and food system settings.
