The Vulcan Hart 00-423847-00001 Door Strike is a metal plate attached to the frame at the point of contact between the door latch provides a better contact surface and accurate positioning during the normal opening and closing cycles. It is fitted in service or when replacing the strike when it is worn, bent, or no longer fits the door properly. The dimensions of the plate are 2" X 1-1/2", and the spacing between holes in the centre of the plate is 1-3/8 so that the plate can fit well in the door frame assembly.
