The Market Forge 950145 Sterilmatic Door Lock/Handle Assembly W/Knob is used to compress the sterilizer door by hand against the gasket to produce a vacuum inside the sterilizer. The rotation of the integrated knob moves a threaded bolt that draws the locking bar into a fixed position to ensure that the steam is not released during the high-pressure cycles. This panel directly attaches to the front side of the Sterilmatic autoclave chamber to act as the main manual interface in locking the unit. The mechanical parts make sure that the door is kept stationary and pressurized during sterilization.
