The Manitowoc 200802 Ice Thickness Control Probe is a sensory element that is fitted in a commercial appliance to detect the amount of ice formed during the system cycle. It is inside the evaporator space and the control system will terminate the freezing process and will start collecting. This probe is used to control the consistency of production since each unit is shaped to a desired depth. It is also commonly under counter system units and is key in the coordination of cycle timing, stable output and inhibition of over-freezing that may adversely impact performance.
