The Keating 004168 Flame Switch is an electrical safety system that is used to detect the existence of a flame and provide a signal to the control system to control the operation of the burners. This flame switch is applied in heating systems where the combustion is to be monitored to ensure the safe ignition and shut-off sequence. It is mounted close to the burner assembly in such a way that it is able to detect ionisation or the presence of a flame and report to the control circuitry.
