The Groen 010250 Jacketed Kettle Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2" is a temperature-sensitive valve element, that is intended to eliminate condensate in steam lines and avoid the escape of steam. This component is installed in a 1/2" steam system, and it detects the temperature fluctuations in the condensate and opens or closes to release the built-up water but does not permit the steam to escape. It is fitted at low points in the steam circuit to facilitate proper drainage and ensure the heat transfer efficiency.
