The Groen 10250 Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2" is a temperature-sensitive valve element that is installed in steam systems to release condensate and maintain steam in the line. This part is intended to be installed in a 1/2" steam circuit, and it will react to the temperature changes of the fluid by opening to eliminate condensate that has built up and closing to retain the steam in order to facilitate efficient heat exchange. In actual service and installation applications, it is installed at the low points in piping runs or under steam-heated equipment to control the flow of condensed water.
