The Frymaster 8101873 Fryer Thermopile 36" is an electric detector that is placed in the ignition and safety system of compatible equipment. It uses the heat of the pilot flame to generate a small electrical signal which activates the gas valve to stay open as long as it is running. It is located close to the burner assembly and enables the constant monitoring of the flame during the daily cooking processes in commercial kitchens. It allows the regulated gas flow, a safe start-up, and further heating as the appliance continues to be used.
