The Dean 810-0617 Fryers Pilot Generator PG9 is a high quality thermopile which is used with Robertshaw valves. It produces 650-750 mV and has a 31” coaxial lead with 3/8”-32 coaxial thermopile threads. This pilot generator is crucial to guarantee a steady flame in commercial fryers such as Frymaster, Garland, and particularly Dean fryer models produced up to February 1993. In doing so, it generates electrical energy from heat to fire up the safety valve for the pilot light. Advantages include safety, durability, and versatility fitting virtually any fryer type since its skilled use is reserved for professionals.
