The Champion 100500 Vacuum Breaker W/Brass is a backflow prevention part that is installed in commercial dishwashers. It permits air to flow into the water line in case of a pressure drop to prevent the occurrence of contaminated water siphoning back into the supply. The unit is mounted in the inlet plumbing of the dishwasher, usually above the rim of the flood level, and is connected to 1/2 inch pipework. It is an element of the water supply protection system in the appliance, which operates with valves and hoses to ensure a secure distance between the machine.
