The Bakers Pride M1296A Thermocouple 72" 2030mV is a high-duty thermal sensing component that is used to identify the presence of flames and to aid in safe gas use in a heating system. This part works by generating a millivolt signal when it is exposed to heat, and this signal is used to control flow of gas in the ignition process and in the continuous operation.
