The Vulcan Hart 00-428428-000G1 Oven Wire Assembly Flame Sensor is a sensing element of a commercial appliance system, that is utilised to sense the presence of flame in a burner. It is placed in the oven cavity close to the burner, where it measures ignition and continuous burning. The assembly sends an indication to the control system to ensure the establishment of flames and to keep the gas flowing during operation. Its use in the appliance is to aid secure operation of the oven by allowing better control of the burner and cutoff of the gas supply in case a flame is not detected as part of the ignition secure system.
