The T&S Brass 001070-45 Nitrile O-Ring 3/8" ID × 1/16" is used to form a watertight seal between two mating parts of commercial catering equipment. It is usually fitted in taps, spray valves and pipe unions where water or cleaning solutions are under pressure to avoid leakage and backflow. The ring is machined into a groove in the appliance and compresses as the fittings are tightened to ensure the same amount of pressure is contained and the parts can be assembled, removed and replaced without damaging the surrounding threads or surfaces.
