The Stero A57-2387 Flange Gasket is a sealing element that is applied to unite the connections of steam coil pipes, in which the pressure and heat transfer should be controlled. It is installed between two flanged surfaces to avoid leakage of steam and yet compress uniformly on the joint. The gasket allows the stable flow of steam by ensuring that it is sealed consistently in case of temperature variations and repeated heating. Its purpose in the piping system is to absorb small surface differences, minimize stress at the joint, and assist in keeping the system operational in the normal course of operation and service.
