The Stero 0P-641963 Dishwasher Heat Exchanger is the replacement part that conveys heat in the wash or rinse water to the incoming cold water supply. It involves coiled tubing or plates through which the thermal energy can travel between the fluids without the mixing of the fluids, increasing the temperature of the incoming water before it is pumped into the main wash system. The heat exchanger is installed within the lower base or rear of the dishwasher and it is connected to the incoming water line, and internal plumbing.
