The Star Mfg Y9226 Infinite Switch is a heat controller that switches electrical power to the heating element on and off at variable intervals to regulate the amount of heat produced. Changing the position of the sensor shaft changes the timing of the internal contacts, and so the temperature levels across the connected appliance can be changed gradually. It is commonly mounted on the back of the control panel of commercial kitchen equipment, and is connected to the control knob and internal wiring to ignite the amount of heat.
