The Star Mfg SD9-GR0678 Hinge Assembly W/Spring works by providing a mechanical pivot point that the equipment door weight is supported by and the door is brought back to a closed position. The combined high-tension spring provides the required torque to ensure that it keeps the seal tight. This assembly is a left-hand that is attached to the side frame sandwich grills. This hardware provides a self-closing action coupled with structural support to provide uniformity in the alignment of the door and to be energy efficient with repeated use of the hardware in opening and closing the door.
