The Southbend 1183756 Oven Door Spring 1-1/4" DIA is a mechanical tension component that is intended to used the door of an oven to open and close in compatible cooking appliances. This coiled spring is 6-3/4" in total length and has tapered ends to fit well in the door assembly and store and release mechanical energy as the door is opened and closed in the usual operation. Commercial kitchen installations have it fitted or replaced when springs become slack or broken, to resume a smooth door action and aid in the weight of the door.
