The Pitco B6682002-C Crumb Catcher Weldment Filter SG is used to trap food particles and debris in oil, which is circulated in the filtration system and heater tubes, before they enter the filtration system and heater tubes. The oil is passed through the mesh and weldment frame whereby the particles are retained and the liquid is allowed to flow to be filtered or reused. This filter is either in the front of the sump of the filtration tank, which is installed in a way that it can trap debris prior to the pump or the heating elements.
