The MULTIPLEX 020003651 Ice Dispenser Motor/Gear Reducer with a double-D shaft works by transforming electrical energy supplied to it by a 115V supply into regulated rotational movement, that drives the internal dispensing mechanism. The built-in gear reducer decelerates the motor output and increases the torque to enable the shaft to turn at a controlled speed to activate the dispenser parts that release ice uniformly. This motor and gear system is commonly mounted in compatible ice dispenser units which are mounted in the drive section where the shaft passes through the dispensing mechanism pushing ice towards the chute.
