The Manitowoc MAN000009123 (OLD STYLE RSW) Water Inlet Solenoid Valve 50/60Hz 120V is a replacement part that regulates the flow of water by operating an electrically charged coil to open and close the internal valve mechanism. When power is applied, the solenoid will open to enable water to flow through and when power is released it will go back to the closed position to prevent the flow. It is installed in compatible commercial systems and is normally placed at the point of entry of water to control the incoming water in the ice-making cycle.
