The Component Hardware Group KL41Y006 Cold Stem Assembly is an alternate component of a valve that is used to control the flow of cold water in a tap or other plumbing appliance. It works by opening and closing the cold water passage when it is turned to the outlet at will. It is also commonly fitted as an internal component of the internal valve mechanism of the commercial appliance or pillar tap, and not a visible fitting. This cold stem in the overall assembly is in conjunction with the hot stem to facilitate balanced operation, reliable shut-off and consistent operation in use.
