The Johnson Controls K19AT-30 Thermocouple 30 SLMJIM is a temperature sensor that is applied to measure and send heat readings in gas-fired equipment. It measures 30 inches long and detects the presence, and strength of a pilot flame by producing a small electrical voltage that varies with temperature, which is transmitted to the control system to verify secure operation of the burner. It is fitted close to the pilot assembly of gas appliances. It is a safety system, as it makes sure that the control module is able to cut off the flow of gas in case the flame is not lit.
