The Hoshizaki 4A1107-18 Compressor Starter Relay is an essential component in the correct operation of Hoshizaki refrigeration systems. It acts as an electro-mechanical switch that controls the electrical current flow that the compressor motor requires for the compressor to start and operate. The relay is of electromagnetic induction type. The relay gets a signal when the refrigeration system is to cool down. This signal induces a coil within the relay and hence a magnetic field is developed. The magnetic field pulls a moveable armature, making the electrical contacts and connecting the electrical circuit to the compressor motor.
