The Hobart 840012-12 Tilting Braising Pan Lid Springs Kit is used to offset the weight of the heavy pan cover. It is a mechanism that allows a controlled lifting force to take place because the gravitational force is absorbed when the user opens the unit, and the lid does not fall out of place. These are designed parts that can be installed in the hinge mechanism in the back of the cooking vessel. It is a required component kit that substitutes exhausted internal components to reclaim the initial mechanical action of the manual tilt mechanism.
