The Hobart 00-875001 Food Processor Lid HCM61/62 operates by forming a pressurized seal around, the mixing bowl to hold the ingredients and a sensor for an interlock that enables the motor to spin. This element makes use of a shaped notch to push food particles back to the cutting blades and avoid external splashing during high-speed processing. It is fitted on the uppermost rim of the processor bowl which fits into the mounting arm or hinge mechanism of the base unit.
