The Garland 1920401 Thermocouple GPD-48/60 is a temperature sensor part that is used in commercial cooking, and heating systems to check the presence of flames and to make sure that burners are safely operating. Its main purpose is to produce a signal of millivolts when in the presence of heat enabling the control system to sense ignition and ensure the flame remains active. The thermocouple is mounted close to the pilot or main burner so that it can sense the temperature.
