The Federal Industries 33-11541 Evaporator Coil RSSM4 is a heat exchanger in which liquid refrigerant takes up thermal energy in the surrounding air and changes to a gaseous state. The process reduces the temperature of the airflow passing through the series of finned aluminium tubes. The assembly is mounted on the inside of the cooling plenum of the refrigerated display case, which is behind or beneath the shelving space. This coil keeps the required thermal condition by pumping chilled air over the store to overcome the heat gain of the ambient air.
