The Curtis WC-2005 Washer Shield Cap GEM-3/T is a replacement cover installed on the shaft assembly of commercial appliances. It is placed above the washer stack to restrict the penetration of coffee grounds, moisture, and fine dust into the bearing area and maintain proper spacing along the rotational shaft. They are placed in restaurant places during routine servicing or repairs when contaminated. The cap within the grinder assists in maintaining the burr carrier in place, minimizes abrasive wear on moving components and allows stable operation without straining adjacent seals or bearings.
