The Convotherm C5017016 Tubular Heater Element 18kW 230V P3 uses electrical energy to convert it into thermal energy by use of an internal resistive coil which produces heat when a current is passed through it. This heat is conducted through the filling of insulating magnesium oxide to the outer metal sheath. This particular element is placed in the inside heating chamber or steam generator unit of the appliance to ensure the operating temperatures. The unit has a triple loop design and a dedicated flange mounting to make it fit securely and exchange thermal energy effectively when cooking at high capacity.
