The Blodgett 52092 Pilot Safety Valve TS11K is an essential part of safety device for gas fired ovens. It serves as a safety measure to avoid gas leak and operation of handling systems. The idea was to design this valve to cut off the gas supply to the main burner if the pilot light were to extinguish. It prevents a serious fire hazard where unburned gas accumulates in the oven. A thermocouple in the TS11K valve senses the presence of the pilot flame. The valve closes and shuts of the gas supply if the pilot flame is extinguished and the thermocouple cools down.
