The Bakers Pride M1557X Gas Safety Valve regulates the flow of natural or propane gas to the oven by opening and closing due to the thermostat and pilot signals. It controls the gas pressure to make sure that the burner combusts when the conditions are right to avoid unintentional gas flow. It is made to fit in the gas line of the oven, and has a 1/2" MPT gas inlet and outlet, with a 1/4" CCT port connected to the pilot system. This safety valve is fitted close to the control assembly of the oven and it can be directly connected to the existing gas and pilot lines.

Installation Steps

Step1: Turn off the gas supply and disconnect power to the oven.

Step2: Remove the existing gas safety valve by disconnecting gas lines and pilot tubing.

Step3: Install the new valve, connecting the gas in/out lines and pilot tubing.

Step4: Secure the valve with mounting hardware.

Step5: Restore gas and power, then test for proper operation and leaks.
