The Accutemp AT1E2703-1 Steamer Vacuum Pump works with the aid of a motorized internal system to remove air, and non-condensable gases from the cooking chamber. This is a mechanical process that reduces the pressure inside the vessel to establish a controlled condition in which water boils. The component is usually placed at the bottom of the unit attached directly to the drainage and exhaust pipes to control the flow of steam. This particular arrangement is powered by a normal 60Hz frequency with a current of 0.6 amps flowing to ensure that the suction remains constant throughout the steaming process.
