The Vulcan Hart 00-408379-00004 Range Top Burner Valve is a gas-flow valve that is used to manage the amount of gas sent to the burners on a commercial range. It works by varying the position of a needle or other mechanism to control the rate of gas flow into the burner, and can have a high to low flame intensity. This valve is normally fitted behind the control panel and the shaft runs through the front to allow the addition of a knob. It is a necessary element of the cooking surface of the range.
