The Southbend 1164807 Igniter Electrode with 38" Wire is an electrical ignition part installed in a cooking range to start the burner flame. This electrode produces the spark needed to light gas when the control system indicates that they want ignition, with the 38-inch wire attached operating as the connection to the ignition module. It is applied in commercial and professional kitchen lines in which a consistent supply of sparks is required to operate gas burners on a regular basis. It is attached close to the burner port and is a component of the ignition assembly of the range.
