The Hobart 00-114695 Planetary Shaft Oil Seal is designed to ensure that no lubricants leak out by forming a tight seal around the planetary shaft as it turns. It is installed by snugly fitting around the shaft, and it has a seal that keeps, the oil in place and allows it to rotate freely. This part is mounted directly onto the planetary shaft in the mixer assembly, so that the gears around it are kept well lubricated. Its tight fit ensures that the performance of the machinery remains constant and also minimizes, the chances of the oil leaking into other components of the equipment.
