The Garland GL2200602 Thermocouple is a temperature-sensing element that responds to flame heat and produces a millivolt signal to be used to regulate the gas safety. It is applied in gas systems to detect the presence of flames and supply the electric output that is necessary to operate the flow of gas. A thermocouple will generate a steady 20-30mV signal when enough heat is detected, This component has a 24-inch metric lead, which is joined to acceptable gas valve circuits and can operate the entire system in a normal operating condition.
