The Garland 2200602 Thermocouple 24" 20-30mV is a temperature-sensitive system that is used to detect the presence of flames and produce a millivolt signal that can be used to operate gas safety. It is installed in gas valve safety systems, where it detects heat in the presence of an active flame and sends the electrical signal necessary to maintain the operation of gas flow at a regulated level. Loss of flame causes the output to reduce, which is favorable to safe shutdown. This allows the part to get directly connected to compatible gas control circuits.
